About this event

Women and Wine Wednesday is open to all MIT alumnae, colleagues and friends. Please come and sip, munch and mingle to continue to build our valuable and growing network of women professionals!

We are excited to have Kristen Fishman, Audit Senior Manager, ESG Center for Audit Solutions, KPMG LLP, lead us in a discussion on the importance of ESG.

Kristen will be gearing the conversation around:

  • What is ESG (Environment, Social & Corporate Governance)
  • Why it's important to organizations in the US and globally?
  • What are some things everyone should be thinking about in terms of sustainability in their business?

Kristen Fishman is an audit senior manager with KPMG LLP where she is a member of KPMG ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and the ESG Center for Audit Solutions. She has over nine years of cross-functional audit and advisory experience for clients ranging from not-for-profit organizations to large multinational public companies.

At the KPMG ESG Center for Audit Solutions, Kristen is part of a team developing new methodologies to enable KPMG audit and advisory professionals to deliver ESG solutions to a diverse group of clients. She also manages ESG assurance and advisory engagements for clients navigating their ESG reporting journey.

Kristen is originally from Hartford County in Connecticut and attended Boston College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting and environmental studies. She is a CPA licensed in Massachusetts and has an Executive Certificate in Advancing Sustainability from the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business.

The MIT Sloan CFO Summit, started in 2002, is the nation’s premier CFO event bringing together financial executives from around the world and leading faculty from MIT. The annual event offers a day of interactive learning and thought-provoking discourse on the future of finance, accounting, and business that is not available anywhere else. It includes presentations, panels, keynotes speakers, networking and a closing reception.

The MIT Sloan CFO Summit is designed by volunteers using knowledge from professional experience and the expertise of the academicians at MIT Sloan School of Management. Conference organizers have access to vital information and a network of expert business leaders to draw from, which allows them to foster thought-provoking discussions and facilitate peer networking for their fellow executives. The Summit is part of the CXO Series produced by the MIT Sloan Boston Alumni Association along with MIT Sloan. Chair of the program is Jeremy Seidman (MBA ’03)
